TS Provide LED Screen in Melbourne Australia
The Melbourne Town Hall’s Aboriginal History Display is a significant cultural project that uses advanced LED technology to tell the story of the region’s Aboriginal heritage. The installation consists of four LED blades of varying heights, the tallest standing at 2.2 meters. These “blades” are arranged to display separate pieces of content on each post, or they can be unified into a single, cohesive visual narrative. This innovative design allows the display to communicate complex stories while creating a visually striking and engaging experience for visitors(

The Melbourne City Council (MCC) commissioned this project to attract visitors to the Town Hall’s visitor center. The idea was to offer an immersive introduction to Aboriginal culture through modern technology. The content presented includes visuals that trace Aboriginal history to contemporary Melbourne, accompanied by a voiceover that explains the significance of the land in Aboriginal culture today. This LED setup serves as both a historical and modern representation of Melbourne’s Indigenous heritage.
Technologically, the display leverages the flexibility of NanoLumens’ Nixel Series LED technology, which was selected for its ability to be customized to the specific dimensions and creative vision of the project. This ensures that the display is both visually captivating and technically precise. The project was designed and executed by DPS and Citadel, with assistance from NanoLumens to fine-tune the technical specifications, media handling, and visual configuration.
This installation not only serves as a landmark in the Town Hall but also as an example of how LED displays can blend cultural storytelling with cutting-edge technology to create lasting, meaningful impressions on visitors.
