The installation of indoor fixed display screens is a highly important project. Its quality directly determines the visual performance, stability, and lifespan of the display. Unlike a simple wall-mounted TV, it involves multiple specialized fields such as structural engineering, electrical systems, signal transmission, and heat dissipation. Here’s how it works, step by step:
Step 1:On-site inspection
1)Wall Installation: Confirm the wall material (concrete, brick, light-gauge steel stud drywall partitions, etc.), load-bearing capacity, flatness, and verticality.
The wall must support the combined weight of the display and its support structure (typically 60-150 kg per square meter or more).
2)Ambient Lighting: Assess the intensity of ambient light at the installation location, particularly whether any windows directly face the screen, as this affects the display’s brightness settings.
3)Maintenance Space: Determine whether front or rear maintenance access is required. This dictates whether a service passage must be reserved between the mounting frame and the wall.
4)Front Maintenance: No clearance is required in front of the screen. Modules can be disassembled from the front using specialized tools, suitable for confined spaces or flush-mounted installations.
This is the most common method currently.
5)Rear Maintenance: A minimum clearance of 0.8-1.2 meters is required behind the screen to allow technicians to perform maintenance from the rear.
6)Access Routes: Measure the dimensions of elevators, stairwells, and doorways to ensure the display cabinet or modules can be transported smoothly to the installation site.
Step 2:Design Confirmation
1) Installation Structure Drawing: Based on the survey results, design or confirm the steel structure support drawings for the display screen. The drawings must clearly specify the steel specifications, welding/connection methods, and wall fixing points (e.g., chemical bolts, expansion bolts).
2) Power Distribution Planning: Plan the wire diameter and routing of the power cables, and confirm the location of the main circuit breaker and distribution box.
A separate, dedicated circuit must be set up for the display screen to avoid sharing with equipment such as air conditioners and high-power lighting.
3) Signal Cabling: Plan the routing of network cables, fiber optic cables, and other signal cables from the control room (where the player is located) to the display screen installation location.
Step 3: Cabinet/Module Installation
Cabinet-style LED Display:
Mount each cabinet individually onto pre-installed hooks or bolts on the steel structure support. Installation typically proceeds from bottom to top and from center to both sides to facilitate adjustments.
Module-style LED Display:
First install magnetic or snap-fit brackets onto the steel structure. Then attach each module individually by magnetically attaching or snapping it into place.
Then check and adjust the overall flatness of the screen.
Step 4:Control System Installation
Install the transmitter card inside the control computer, and install the receiver card and video processor inside the display screen cabinet.
Step 5:Connect the power cable and signal cable.
Step 6:LED Display Screen Debugging
1)Connecting to the Debugging Software: Use the manufacturer’s debugging software to search for and connect the receiving card on the screen.
2)Screen Parameter Settings: Set basic parameters such as the display size (length, width, and pixels), scanning method, and refresh rate.
