What should you pay attention to when buying an immersive LED screen?
Immersive LED displays have become extremely popular products in the last three years, primarily used in cultural tourism, flight theaters, social media hotspots, entertainment hubs, immersive cinemas, and virtual production. When selecting and purchasing an Immersive LED Screen, what key factors should be considered? Top Shine has many years of experience in manufacturing and installing LED immersive video walls. Combining the use of 50+ LED immersive rooms around the world, we have summarized the following experience:
-
-
Choose the appropriate pixel pitch (resolution) based on the size of the immersive LED display
Sufficiently high resolution is required for clear display effects. The pixel pitch determines the resolution and clarity of the display. For immersive experiences, higher resolution (smaller pitch) is essential to ensure sharp visuals, especially at close viewing distances. Currently, the most commonly used models are P2.5, P2.0, and P1.8.
-
Determine the number of display surfaces and whether each surface is connected at right angles or curves. For every three adjacent surfaces, consider whether rounded corners are needed. The difference between right angles and curved corners lies in the transition effect—curved connections provide a smoother and more natural visual flow.
-
90° right-angle connection: Sharp transitions, suitable for structured environments.
-
Curved/arc connection: Smoother transitions, ideal for seamless immersive experiences (e.g., flight simulators, dome theaters).
-
-
LED chip selection: For applications like flight theaters or entertainment hubs with motion seats and bubble machines, where water droplets and bubbles may come into contact with the LEDs, iron-based LED brackets are prone to rust and module damage. It is recommended to use copper-based LEDs or apply GOB (Glue on Board) coating. Areas with high humidity, such as ceilings and floors, should also use copper-based LEDs or GOB treatment.
-
If the Floor LED display is designed for walkable surfaces (e.g., interactive floors in entertainment zones).
The cabinet must be structurally reinforced. If specialized LED floor tiles are not used, GOB-coated LED modules are necessary to ensure durability. -
Standard video content ≠ immersive experience.
Immersive LED displays require custom video content to achieve the desired immersive effect—not all videos will produce the same impact when displayed.

Immersive LED display Applications
Immersive LED display has become the core carrier of digital visual immersive experience with its ultra-high resolution, seamless splicing, naked eye 3D effect and flexible scene adaptation capabilities.
Through the 360° circular LED screen, the contradiction between cultural relic protection and display is resolved and historical scenes are restored. Visitors can “travel” to ancient times and trigger cultural relic stories.
Curved LED dome + suspended dynamic seats, ultra-high resolution combined with wind mist + bubble + fragrance system, simulates flying perspective through the Great Wall/Victoria Falls and other landscapes.
LED Virtual Studio: The Industrial Light & Magic StageCraft system used in The Mandalorian renders the LED video wall and renders the UE5 scene in real time, greatly reducing the cost and time of shooting.
LED starry sky room + real-time AI interaction such as human body movement triggering particle effects to create an infinite sense of space, a powerful tool for attracting traffic. Such as TeamLab Borderless Art Museum, Shenzhen “Super MixCinema”
Dark Ride: Universal Studios’ Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey upgrade, 4-sided LED tunnels to achieve real-time rendering of Dementors chasing. XR Haunted House: superimposed virtual and real horror creatures
Active 3D immersive technology, no brightness loss, brightness can reach 800CD, direct playback and display of film sources, no conversion, no delay, immersive experience is more realistic, Some videos may cause dizziness or nausea.
