How To Install Fixed Screen Step By Step

一.Pre installation Preparation Safety + Precision:

(1)Site Survey and Plan Confirmation:

①Confirm installation location wall and column and suspended, dimensions Length and Height and Depth, load bearing capacity Outdoor ≥ 50 kg/m², and wall flatness Tolerance ≤ 5 mm/m.

②Plan power and signal cable routing, and reserve space for maintenance ≥30 cm at the rear.

③Determine the module layout, as well as the quantity and placement of power supplies and receiving cards.

(2)Materials and Tools List:

①Redundancy, Receiving Cards, Sending Cards, Network Cables Cat 5e or Cat 6, Power Cables National Standard Copper Core, Steel Structure or Aluminum Profiles, Expansion Bolts, Cable Ties, Cable Trunking, Waterproof Connectors.

②Materials LED Modules, Switching Power Supply 5V, ≥20% Tools Laser Level, Electric Drill, Impact Drill, Screwdriver, Anti-static Wrist Strap, Multimeter, Cable Ties, Tape Measure.

(3)Module Pre testing Ground Power on Inspection:

①Connect the individual module to a 5V power supply and a receiving card, upon powering on, verify that there are no dead pixels, no screen flickering or distortion, and that the colors appear normal.

②Number according to the layout diagram to prevent errors in the installation sequence.

二.Installation of Steel Structure or Aluminum Profile Frame Load bearing + Leveling:

①Line Marking and Positioning use a laser level to mark reference lines on the wall surface, the horizontal deviation shall not exceed 2 mm.

②Wall Mounting: Secure the horizontal and vertical beams to the wall using expansion bolts; the spacing between horizontal beams shall not exceed 60 cm, and between vertical beams, 80 cm.

③Lifting: First secure the top lifting points, then attach the frame, and adjust for levelness and vertical alignment.

三.Wiring Power  Signal — Route Separately:

(1)Power Cable Routing Safety First:

①Zonal Power Supply: Power is allocated based on the number of modules, one 5V/300W power supply supports 6 to 8 P2 or P3 modules.

②Wiring: L Live→ Red, N Neutral → Blue, PE Ground → Yellow or Green, the ground connection must be reliable.

③Conduit Protection: Power cables shall be routed through PVC conduits or cable trays, kept separate from signal cables to prevent interference.

④Outdoor Use waterproof enclosure for connections potting compound to prevent short circuits caused by rainwater.

(2)Signal Cable Routing Ensure Cascade Direction Is Not Reversed:

①Network Cable: Cat 5e or Cat 6, length ≤ 100m, Sending Card → Receiving Card (IN), Receiving Card (OUT) → Next Card (IN).

②Securing: The network cable runs along the inner side of the frame, secured with cable ties, and is clearly labeled.

四.Installing the Power Supply and Receiving Card Mounting + Wiring:

①Fixed Power Supply the power supply is mounted on the back of the frame, positioned to ensure ventilation and heat dissipation, with a clearance of ≥10 cm.

②The receiving card is secured to the frame beam, with the ribbon cable port aligned toward the modules.

③The receiving card is pre installed inside the cabinet, with the ribbon cables already connected at the factory.

④220V Input, 5V Output Connect to Module, Reversing the Polarity is Strictly Prohibited.

⑤Connect the network cable to IN and OUT, and the ribbon cable to the module with the arrow pointing towards IN.

五.Installing LED Modules Seam Alignment + Flatness:

①Wear an anti static wrist strap to prevent electrostatic discharge from damaging the LED beads.

②From bottom to top, and from the center outward start with the baseline blocks, then expand.

③Align the magnetic posts on the back of the module with the frame, gently press to secure via magnetic attraction, and level the module.

④M3 screws secure the four corners, use at least 4 screws per piece, tightening them just enough to avoid damaging the faceplate.

⑤Module gap ≤ 0.5 mm, LED height difference ≤ 0.5 mm, no black edges or bright lines.

⑥After installing each row, use a spirit level to check for horizontal and vertical alignment, and make immediate fine adjustments.

六.Pre Power-On Inspection Mandatory — To Prevent Short Circuits:

①The modules, power supplies, and receiving cards are securely fastened, with no loose screws.

②Power and signal cables contain no exposed copper strands, and positive and negative terminals are not reverse connected.

③Reliable Grounding the frame, power supply, and signal shielding layers share a common ground.

七.Power up and System Commissioning Poweron + Calibration:

①First, switch on the main breaker and verify that the 220V supply is stable, then, individually engage the circuit breakers for each zone, observing that the power indicator lights function normally.

②Turn on the computer and the sending card, connect the sending card to the receiving card.

(1)Software Configuration Taking NovaStar and Huidu as Examples:

①Install the control software and set the screen resolution Width and Height in pixels.

②Configure Receiving Cards set the scanning mode, OE and data polarity, and cascading direction in accordance with the module specifications.

③Screen Layout configure module arrangement and receiving card load distribution.

④Calibration point by point brightness and color calibration, eliminating color discrepancies and light and dark lines.

⑤Test: Display full screen white, red, green, and blue, check for dead pixels, misalignment, and flickering.

八.Finalization and Acceptance Securing + Protection:

①All cables are neatly bundled with zip ties, placed within the cable trays, and clearly labeled.

②Waterproof sealant is applied around the perimeter of the display panel, and all interfaces are sealed to prevent rainwater infiltration.

③Ventilation ports are reserved on the rear, a fan can be installed for high temperature environments.

④After 24 hours of continuous power-on operation, there were no system crashes, screen distortions, or dead pixels, the display functioned normally.
